MEC LEHARI TO ADDRESS YOUTH BUSINESS INVESTMENT WORKSHOP Mahikeng- In an effort to empower and draw young people into productive economies, Community Safety and Transport Management MEC Sello Lehari will lead the departmental Youth Business Investment Workshop as part of youth month celebrations. The unemployment rate in the country, can often result in criminal activities, corruption and substance abuse. In line with this year's youth month theme: "Accelerating youth economic emancipation for a sustainable future," the department will coordinate a host of stakeholders to present business development support programmes to young people who are employed temporarily by the department. The workshop is a means to encourage young people to venture into entrepreneurship, to provide the necessary support in establishing enterprises and contribute significantly to the growth of the province's economy. The targeted stakeholders for the day include; Department of Employment and Labour, National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA), Mafikeng Digital Innovation Hub as well as other incubation hubs in the North West Province.
